Hello there!  I'm Quaphee (kah-fee), and I'm a Learning Experience Designer (LXD).  When I first discovered the words "Instructional Design" (also known as Learning Experience Design), I clearly remember thinking to myself, "Wait...what's that? 🤔 What's instructional design?" My curiosity got the best of me, so I went digging. The more I dug, the more I found; and the more I found, the more my chin dropped! A whole career blending learning theories, tech, design, and creativity? I'd hit the educational jackpot! Sign me up, now!

From my tween days of corralling neighborhood kids for pretend school, to shaping the minds of coworkers throughout my adult career, I've always had a knack for wanting to help people learn how to do something. And if I can creatively apply technology to design something that will help someone learn, that's icing on the cake for me! (Well....maybe not icing, since I'm not a fan, but the spongy cake part...anyway, you know what I mean. HA! 🤭).

To make learning engaging and impactful, I apply a non-traditional method that integrates storytelling and technology to simulate realistic scenarios. These scenarios not only inspire learners but also present behavioral challenges, leading to meaningful behavior change. I’m a HUGE fan of Cathy Moore's Action Mapping. And I'm also a HUGE fan of Kimberly Goh's Interactive Storytelling.  This dynamic duo has revolutionized my approach to learning design. Now, creating adult eLearning feels more targeted, exciting, purposeful, fulfilling, and a ton of fun! 😃
